Majorly Stroke is divided into two types - Ischemic Stroke and Haemorrhagic Stroke.
Ischemic Stroke:
This type of stroke is common. Around 8 patients in every 10 stroke cases get this type of disorder. Ischemic Stroke occurs when there is a blood clot in the blood vessels that supply blood to the brain.
Haemorrhagic Stroke:
This type of stroke caused when a blood vessel is broken and bleeds inside the brain. The most common cause of haemorrhagic stroke is a haemorrhage aneurysm, a bulging frail area on the artery wall. Artery walls break due to the fatty deposits called plaque. Hypertension or high blood pressure keeps the arteries at a risk of bleeding into the brain tissues.
